Kevin Godlington
Sara Cameron Talent Management are the Agents for Kevin Godlington.
Kevin Godlington joined the army at 16, having spent his formative years in state care after being abandoned by his alcoholic and drug-addicted family in Blackpool. He served as a Royal Engineer and later with both the Special Forces and the FCDO (Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office), operating all over the world from 1992 to 2007.
In 2007, he began his first companies in Africa.
Co-founding Planting Naturals in 2008, he acquired a collection of distressed assets abandoned by failed corporate management teams and strategies. The business comprises 6,000 hectares of owned farmland and an additional 12,000 smallholder farmers, making it the largest organic palm oil cooperative in the world. The company also has access to developed, best-in-class downstream customers.
In 2019, he established his own private equity company, investing in entrepreneurs from low socio-economic backgrounds with phenomenal ideas and indomitable work ethics. His focus is on Africa—particularly West Africa—reforestation, and nature restoration.
In 2022, he founded The Rewilding Company, the largest community-led, cooperative-owned farming and biodiversity restoration organisation in Africa, planting over 25,000 hectares of rainforest and mangrove ecosystems.
Kevin is a former advisor to Tony Blair’s office and the African Governance Initiative. He is also the co-founder of the national charityTickets for Troops, launched alongside David Cameron, and later became a special adviser to the Prime Minister on NEETs (young people not in education, employment, or training).
In his spare time, Kevin is an avid mountaineer, currently holding the world record for summiting Mount Everest from the UK and returning in 6 days and 16 hours.
He is a licensed pilot—flying helicopters and paramotors—and regularly competes in adventure races. He lives in Kent and London, England, with his wife and three children.
