PRESENTER AND JOURNALIST

Ginny has been at the heart of broadcasting, journalism and cars for over 20 years. The first female motoring editor of a UK national newspaper and former Sky News anchor, Ginny is now the Founder and CEO of Electrifying.com - a new female led multi-channel media advice platform aimed consumers seeking jargon-free advice about the switch to electric and hybrid cars.

Ginny is also the motoring editor for the UK's biggest selling women's magazine ‘Good Housekeeping’, contributes to GQ on subject of electric cars, and for the last 10 years currently presents the iconic BBC One programme ‘Escape to the Country’, which is broadcast in 52 countries.

Well connected with the global automotive industry, Ginny is juror and advisor for the prestigious World Car of the Year awards (WCOTY) and regularly reports on transport and consumer related issues for the ITV1 Current Affairs programme ‘Tonight’.

Ginny also works at UK Government level, speaking about electric cars and the consumer at the Department for Transport hosted zero emission vehicle summit and has worked regularly at board level with companies like Jaguar Land Rover and Google.

Ginny’s areas of expertise include the automotive industry, electric vehicles and infrastructure, along with autonomy and global trends. As an experienced live television presenter, reporter and host she’s able to think on her feet and she’s is just as comfortable in the pit lane, as she interviewing a CEO or celebrity.

Other presenting credits include BBC1’s ‘Crimewatch Roadshow’ and ‘Watchdog’ along with ITV’s ‘Granada Men and Motors’, where she produced and presented motoring programmes for many years and was also the host of the BBC’s celebrated global hit travel show ‘Holiday’.

Ginny is in demand as a host and moderator for conferences and live events and is also an experienced keynote speaker on sustainability, electrification and automotive trends.

She lives in Oxfordshire with her son and for the past decade has sat on the Board of Trustees for the Manchester United Foundation, where she works to engage and empower young people, with a particular focus on STEM and sport. Ginny is passionate about encouraging and supporting young women and girls who have an interest in the car industry.
